State Representative Brad Stephens (R-Rosemont) and Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart are joining forces to host a Spring-Cleaning Recycling Event on Saturday, May 4, 2024, from 9 am to 12 noon at 5515 N. East River Rd., Chicago, IL 60656.

The event, as announced by Rep. Stephens, will feature a variety of recycling opportunities for residents. "We will have a Shred Truck on-site for paper recycling, a secure prescription drug drop-off location provided by the Sheriff’s office, and an electronics recycling truck while space is available," Stephens mentioned.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this free event, with some guidelines in mind. Participants are advised to limit their shredding to two bags or bankers’ boxes of paper and one box of electronics per family. Additionally, a larger electronic device per family is also acceptable. However, it is important to note that needles or liquid medications will not be accepted at the event. Space for electronics recycling is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

For further inquiries, Rep. Stephens provided his office contact number at (773) 444-0611 and extended a warm invitation to all residents, stating, "We look forward to seeing you there on Saturday!"

This collaborative effort between Rep. Stephens and Sheriff Tom Dart aims to promote environmental consciousness and responsible recycling practices within the community.
